CARMEL, Ind. (March 5, 2012) – The Carmel Road Racing Group and KeyBank announced today a multi-year partnership and title sponsorship of the Carmel Marathon Championship Weekend’s 8k race. The KeyBank 8k will take place on April 21, 2012 as part of the Carmel Marathon Championship Weekend in Carmel, Ind.
As part of their sponsorship, KeyBank is offering one free race entry for any race distance to Central Indiana participants who open a new bank account. In addition to the naming rights for the 8k race, KeyBank will serve as the official bank of the Carmel Marathon Championship Weekend and Carmel Road Racing Group.
KeyBank joins a long list of returning sponsors for the Carmel Marathon Championship Weekend. The road race has received continued support from St. Vincent Carmel Hospital, Tom Wood Automotive Group, Carmel Clay Parks, Carmel City Center, Current in Carmel, Dr. Michael Helms, Hamilton County Sports Authority, Indiana National Guard, Monon Community Center, My 107.9 FM, Pedcor, POWERADE, the Runners Forum, Salon 01 and Upland Brewing Company.

In addition to the KeyBank 8k, the Carmel Marathon Championship Weekend offers the Carmel Marathon, Carmel Half-Marathon Presented by Runners Forum, and 1-Mile Family Fitness Walk. All races will start and finish at Carmel’s Palladium at the Center for Performing Arts with the courses passing through many of the city’s scenic areas, including the Carmel Arts and Design District, Old Town Carmel and Carmel Clay Parks. Finishers of the 8k race distance will receive a commemorative KeyBank 8k medal.
