Next Friday (August 29th), Rome, Italy, will host a new half marathon, the well-named Roma by Night.
The race starts at 10 pm on the beautiful Ponte della Musica. The whole race follows a loop and takes the runners along the Tiber river and through the streets of the city, north of Villa Borghese, on both sides of the river.
The whole course is flat and illuminated. There is no need to carry a headlamp. Runners have 3 hours and 10 minutes to complete the course. This should give them plenty of time to admire the city by night.
Four aid stations are set along the course, at km 6, 10 , 16 and after the finish line and showers are available in a stadium nearby.
