Entertainment Abounds Throughout Miami Marathon Course

More Than 20 Cheer Teams, Bands, Drumlines and Dancers Set To Support Runners

For the 25,000 runners taking part in Sunday’s Miami Marathon and HalfMarathon, they’ll enjoy one of the most beautiful marathon courses in thecountry featuring of a variety of entertainment to make crossing the finishline that much easier.

Entertainment has become a large part of the Marathon experience and thisyear-from the moment local rising artist Ariel Rose performs the NationalAnthem at the start line to when the dance band El Side Project entertainsat the Post Race party-runners will have plenty to distract them from thetoughness of the endurance test.
“We’re committed to providing a fabulous experience for both participantsand spectators during race weekend and take great pride in showcasing thetalents of the city from world renowned DJ’s to up-and-coming artists androck bands,” said Race Director Javier Sanchez. “The finish line festivalthis year will feature the best of this culturally diverse hotspot,Miami-style.”

  • Friendship Circle International Community Cheer Zone
  • Baptist Health South Florida Community Cheer Zone at the Omni,including the music of Xpresso

South Miami

Kids Run Miami

Kids Run Miami race at 11 a.m. on Sunday will have its own entertainmentline-up including:

  • Daniel Pujala will sing the national anthem with an assist from theBooker T. Washington High Color Guard.
  • Guitar Over Guns, a group of professional musicians who mentor at-risk kids.
  • Burnie, the Miami Heat mascot and Billy the Marlin of the Florida Mariners
