For the second time in three years local runner Cristian Soratos topped close to 1,000 runners to win the Salinas Valley Half Marathon.
Starting in Soledad and ending in Salinas, Soratos finished the race in 1:10:24.
One second slower than his 2014 second-place finish.
His best finish was the 1:09:15 he ran to win it in 2013.
Michael Ramirez (1:10:54) was the only other runner to come in under an hour and 15 minutes.
Edgar Bonilla (1:15:37) came in barely ahead of Justin Carrancho (1:16:02) for third.
For the women, it was 2013 runner-up Amy Johnston taking the top spot with a time of 1:23:28.
Second-place finisher Shawna Winnegar completed the USATF certified course in 1:25:58.
Stephanie Hamm held her own through the vineyards finishing in 1:27:04.
