A perennial podium placer going back to 2011, Nicolas Cuestas (1:07:56) finally claimed the top spot over more than 1000 runners in the Half Maraton Montevideo in Parque Rodo, Uruguay.
Despite adding more than four minutes to his third-place finish from a year ago, Angel Portela (1:12:28) managed to improve his positioning by a spot.
It’s was his fourth top four finish in four years.
Luis Santiago Andrada Ramirez rounded out the top three with a time of 1:15:47.

For the women, it was 2011 and 2012 winner Maria Laura Bazallo (1:23:58) back on top.
She finished second in 2013.
Alison Wakley repeated as runner-up, finishing with a time of 1:26:46.
Natalia Novelli notched third, coming in at 1:29:52.
