A new marathon in Jerusalem in 2011
Until next year Jerusalem was only hosting a half marathon and a 10k race. In 2011, the organizers have decided to add a marathon distance race to the event. Nelson Kirwa Rotich of Kenya was the first runner to cross the finish line for the 2010 Standard Chartered KL Marathon in 02:16:43. Goitetom Haftu Tesema of Ethiopia won the women’s race in 02:46:43. The young Spanish, 21 years old, finished the Utra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) in the amazing time of 21 hours 33 minutes and 18 seconds.
