About the event
This event is named for Brenda Deer, a mother of 3 who was a Guilderland resident, avid runner and popular teacher’s aide at the Guilderland Elementary School. Brenda was tragically killed on July 30, 2000 when she was struck by a drunk driver as she was running with her husband, John, on Route 155.
Join us for our 13th Annual Brenda Deer Memorial 5K Run/3K Walk and Kids Fun Run. Enjoy our FREE Member Appreciation BBQ after the race. The Kids Fun Run includes a 100 yard dash, ½ mile and 1 mile run. Kids also enjoy a bounce house, face painting, petting zoo and pony rides. Please register by Tuesday, September 15, 2015.
The first 100 5K pre-registered runners are guaranteed a gender specific dry fit weave long sleeve race shirt.
