I ran this marathon i 2007 and had my debut on the 42.195 km distance here. It highly fulfilled my expectation as a debutant. The number of runners participating was approx. 7000, so you don't get the feeling of overcrowded. Well organized and plenty of supply at each water post and officiel pacekeepers. Accommodation and eating are rather expensive compared to other major European cities. Might appear a little unchallenging for the more experienced longdistance runner. 3/5 stars.

I truly recommend the Glitnir Marathon in Copenhagen. Copenhagen is such a great city. The route is fairly easy if you are an experienced runner. But the scenery is spectacular if you like Scandinavian cities. Have a great run :-) Jackie
