Lidl São Silvestre de Lisboa

HMS Sports and the Lisbon City Hall have collaborated to organise the 10K Lidl São Silvestre de Lisboa event for the past 14 years, bringing together over 110,000 runners. On December 18th, this annual race marks its 15th edition, starting at 5:30 pm and allowing spectators to witness the sunset by the river Tagus, while taking in the festive Christmas lights in the Portuguese capital's streets. All participants will receive a medal at the end. The race has been awarded the prestigious Five-Star Certification from the European Athletics, and the Avenida da Liberdade, one of Lisbon's most important avenues, will be the main stage of the event. An earlier kid's race will also be hosted at 3:00 pm, with the aim of promoting sports among children and a healthier lifestyle for families in general. Children born between 2009 and 2017 can join the Clube Pelicas São Silvestre da Pequenada and enjoy a special race with customised bibs and a t-shirt, as well as a medal. Additionally, the registration fees will be used to support a non-profit organisation.
