About the event
This is a USATF sanctioned event with a certified course. (USATF course #OK-11041-DG)
The Start & Finish will be at the east entrance of Fuqua Park, 14th & Ash streets, Duncan, OK.
Race day registration and packet pick-up will open at 6:30 AM at the Rock Island 905 Railroad Museum, located at the south end of Fuqua Park. Registration will close 30 minutes before race start time. (Note: No left-hand turn is allowed from southbound Hwy 81 at Oak. You can turn left into the business just past the light at Oak and make your way back to the park OR turn left onto Beech, turn right (south) on 13th street. Take 13th street to Oak and turn right (west) to the parking lot on the south end of Fuqua Park. This year the north entrance to the park on Beech will be closed to everyone except for the vendors and artists with the Art Walk and the sponsors of this event.)
1 Mile Fun Run/Walk starts at 7:30 a.m. Cost: $15.00 (T-shirt not included. T-shirts can be ordered with this registration). Strollers are allowed on 1 mile course. Those with strollers will be staged at the back of the starting line. All other type of wheels and pets are prohibited. Participation medal guaranteed to those pre-registered by June 10.
5K Race starts at 8:00 a.m. Cost is $20 from March 1-April 30; $25 May 1-June 24; Race Day $30. T-shirts are guaranteed to be included if registration is completed by 11:59 PM June 10. Strollers will be allowed on the 5k route. Those with strollers will be staged at the back of the starting line. All other type of wheels and pets are prohibited. 5K participants must finish no later than 9:30 a.m.
There will be an award for the 5k Overall Male and Female. Medals will be given to the top three finishers in each age division. Standard Male and Female Divisions for 5K: 8-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over.
Race Day Event Services will do the chip timing.
A special award will be given to the organization/business that has the most team members for the 5k.
Must be present to win door prizes.

More Founder's Day Happenings
There are many events happening in Duncan to make an exciting and full itinerary for a family on June 25. Look at these events:
(1) The Chisholm Trail Arts Council will have its 2nd Annual CTAC ArtWalk Duncan (AWD) in Fuqua Park alongside us. AWD is an annual fine arts, music festival that will be held from 10:30am to 11:00pm. Artists’ booth will be open 10:30am-5:00pm.
Children can experience "Art in Action" in its Kids Korner and take home a small art project. Be sure to bring your chairs and enjoy live entertainment throughout the day, ending with a FREE Concert in the Park featuring Kaitlin Butts at 7:30pm. (There will be food trucks available, too!)
(2) The crowning of Duncan's Founder's Day Queen will be at the Historical Museum in Fuqua Park.
(3) The 35th Annual Duncan Noon Lions Club Rodeo at the Claude Gill Arena.
(4) The Little Britches Rodeo at the Stephens County Fairgrounds and Expo.
(5) Open House at the Foreman Prairie House;
(6) The special exhibit at Chisholm Trail Heritage Center of the photography of Kelli Brown of the historic R.A. Brown Ranch.

5k Route Map
Both the 5k and 1 mile routes are open courses, meaning there will be vehicular traffic. Volunteers will be out on the routes helping to guide the participants and also help make the participants more visible to traffic. However, each participant has the ultimate responsibility of clearing each intersection.
