Live Laugh & Run 5K

Join us on November 5 at Creekside Gahanna for the inaugural Live Laugh & Run 5K, benefiting the Metropolitan Youth Foundation and at-risk youth.

The mission of the Metropolitan Youth Foundation of Central Ohio (MYF) is dedicated to providing opportunities and resources for underserved youth of Greater Columbus with a focus on community, education, and fitness & nutrition through charitable giving.

This run will be perfect for walkers, runners, and families. Come have fun with us! All registrants through Sunday, October 23, 2016 will receive a T-Shirt. Those registering after this date will have shirt sizes filled on a first-come-first-served basis through the online registration process.

All participants aged 18 and under participate at no cost!

On behalf of the Metropolitan Youth Foundation (MYF), I want to personally thank you for your participation of the 2016 Live, Laugh Run 5K. Your support of this event will help many underserved youth obtain the support and resources they need to realize their full potential. Additional Race Information
Early Packet Pickup

Save time in line on race day and get your packet, shirt, and race number beforehand. Visit the running and walking experts at Columbus Running Company at their Westerville location (50 N State St - 43081) on Thursday, November 3 from 10a-8p and Friday, November 4 from 10a-6p. You can talk running and walking with the staff, get some last minute tips for race day, and maybe pick up a nice long-sleeved top to keep you warm and dry during those late-Fall runs.

Parking

There is plenty of parking in the underground parking garage at Creekside, and it's free! For full information on parking in Olde Gahanna, click here for tips from the Olde Gahanna Community Partnership.

Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup

There will be registration and late packet pickup on race day at the Creekside Gahanna plaza near the race start line. This begins at 7:30am and will run through 8:55am. 

Awards

Awards will be given to top finishers in the 5K, with recognition going to the top 3 overall male and female finishers, and the top 3 male/female finishers in each age group (19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over). 

Newbie 5K Training Group

Starting on Tuesday, September 6th, our Newbie 5K Training Group will have an orientation meeting at Gahanna Middle School West, 350 N Stygler Rd, Gahanna, OH 43230, to begin training together leading up to the MYF Live, Laugh & Run 5K on Saturday, November 5th at Creekside Gahanna.  We will have an experienced runner from Columbus Running Company speaking to our group so that we can get the most out of our training.

For the weeks leading up to the race, our training group will meet on Monday and Thursday nights at 6:00 PM at Gahanna Middle School West to walk/run together.
