Nathan B. Carse Purple Heart 5K Walk/Run

The Nathan B. Carse Purple Heart 3rd Annual 5K will be held at Faurot Park in Lima, OH on May 29th 2016. Registration will begin at 9:00am, the race will start at 10:00am. There will be same day registration but shirts will be on a first come basis.

This year we are adding "In Memorial Of". If you will be participating in memorial of a veteran please email us with a name and picture and we will add your veteran to a yard sign and placed along the route that you will get to keep after the event. Limit one veteran per entry.

The Purple Heart (Badge of Military Merit) is awarded to service members of The United States Armed Forces who have been wounded or killed in any action against enemies of The United States of America. The mission of The Nathan B.Carse Chapter 1612 Military order of the Purple Heart is to foster goodwill, camaraderie, patriotism and provide service and support to our local combat wounded warriors, their families, and the community. All proceeds from participants and donations will benefit local veterans, helping with resources to file claims, sending veterans on therapuetic outdoor retreats, and partnering with other organizations to help veterans with re-intergration.
