About the event
For over thirty years Arthurdale Heritage, Inc. (AHI) has worked to preserve the history of the nation's first New Deal Homestead Community, started under the Roosevelt Administration. AHI was created by volunteers, many of whom were original homesteaders, to preserve their family and community history. AHI has since become essential to maintaining northern West Virginia's economy through tourism and promoting education about the Depression Era.
Join us after the races for other fun family activities including a petting zoo, pictures with Eleanor Roosevelt, and a free tour of the museums for race participants. Healthy snacks and refreshments to recharge your body will be provided.
Races offered by this event
Roosevelt Run
- Participants must be 10 years of age or older.
- Course is measured and mostly flat with one hilly stretch.
- Course will be timed.
- T-shirts included if pre-registered before July 19, 2014. Please email [email protected] with size information. Sizes available in adult S-XL. 2XL+ are $1.00 extra
- Race Day registration available from 8-9am

- Course is measured and flat.
- The race is not timed- everyone is a winner.
