Copper Country Running Company - Trail Series

To conclude our first summer being Houghton and Keweenaw County's specialty running store, we wanted to do something fun for our local running enthusiast. We're proud to announce that we will be hosting our first trail race as a part of our Copper Country Trail Series! We will be hosting three races in three different locations of varying distances and difficulties!

Sign-up for one race, two races or all three...it's totally up to you! We will be keeping a score for those who participate in all three races and whoever has the highest point total will be the winner of our CCRC grand prize! Grand prizes will be awarded to the top five male and female racers. There will also be prizes for the individual winners of each race. 

Race 1: MTU Madness When: August 26th @ 9:00 AM
Distance: 4-mile
Google Maps Location: Tech Trails Parking, Sharon Ave, Houghton, MI 49931 
Terrain: Ski trails with a mix of flat and rolling hills with a 5 minute climb in the closing third!
Parking: Park in the Tech Trails parking lot near the wax building. Starting/timing tent will be in close proximity. Course Map and Elevation Profile Race 2: Swedetown Shuffle When: September 9th @ 9:00 AM
Distance: 8k
Google Maps Location: Swedetown Ski Chalet- 56641 Osceola Rd, Swedetown, MI 49913 
Terrain: Single track trails with a healthy dose of hills, turns, and flat sections
Parking: Park in the Ski Chalet parking lot. Starting/timing tent will be in close proximity.  Course Map and Elevation Profile Race 3: Maasto / Churning Rapids Challenge When: September 23rd @ 9:00 AM
Distance: 12k

Terrain: Double wide ski trails and single track blend
