THE 15th ANNUAL JENNY'S LIGHT 5k, 10k & KIDS 1k RUN

It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce that we will no longer be able to host the Jenny's Light Run at Vasona Park. The beneficiary of our event, Supporting Mamas, is in the process of dissolving as a non-profit organization, after helping mothers and families in the Bay Area for an impressive 7 years.   

Jenny’s Light was founded fifteen years ago following the death of Jenny and Graham on December 19, 2007. Our mission was to improve & save lives by increasing awareness of all perinatal mood disorders, including postpartum depression. In 2016 we merged our efforts and fundraising with San Francisco Bay Area based Supporting Mamas. They provided information, resources, support & hope to families coping with perinatal mood disorders.  

It has been extremely rewarding to put on a running event that brought so many mothers, kids, families and people together to help shine a light on maternal mental health. THANK YOU ALL for your tremendous support over all of these years! The race would not have been as successful as it was for 14 years without all of our participants, supporters, sponsors & volunteers. 

We hope to still gather informally (run on your own!) at Vasona Park (or virtually for those who aren't local) on Sunday May 21, 2023 as a last hurrah & 15th Anniversary celebration of the JENNY'S LIGHT RUN. More details to come...

We will also keep you informed about where Supporting Mamas will be donating the funds they've raised. It will be to an organization with a similar mission helping women and families dealing with perinatal mood disorders.
