The Wimpy Mile

Bring your friends and family and come join us for a FAST, EASY, and FUN one mile walk/run benefitting the Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary Club. The 3rd Annual Wimpy Mile on Feb 17th is an iconic event, boosting a 180' DECREASE in elevation from start to finish.

Starting from Hancock Park in the midst of Dahlonega, one of America's most beautiful small towns, the certified mile course moves downhill along Wimpy Mill Rd to finish at the Yahoola Reservoir boat ramp. The race provides a great opportunity for a PR for serious runners...and a fun, scenic course for joggers, walkers, families, and your four-legged friends as well. 

Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary Club is an active community service organization dedicated to serving others, promoting integrity, and advancing world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders in Dahlonega and Lumpkin County. 100% of  the Wimpy Mile Run proceeds are used to support a wide variety of local charities.
