Tour de Seven Fall into Fitness 5K

This year our 5k Run/Walk will be on a portion of the 152 acres of rolling hills and woods of Shawnee Community College, one of the most beautiful community college campuses in Illinois, located just a few miles north of the Ohio river and near the scenic Cache River Wetlands.  The campus contains athletic fields, a lake and nature trails.  The course is a moderately difficult course offering breathtaking fall foliage.  It is a combination of blacktop and pavement which are stroller and wheelchair friendly with varied grades of inclines and declines.  Pets on a leash are welcome and Hydration/First Aid Stations will be available.  This year the "Tour de Seven 5k" teams up with the Southern Seven Head Start "Family, Fun & Fishing Day", offering a fun day full of fishing, crafts and activities for the whole family which will include Chili with all the fixings for lunch.  There will be a Health Fair with nurses available to give flu shots (be sure to bring your insurance card), WIC nurses to register children into the WIC program and much, much more.  You really don't want to miss this year's event!
