13.1 Marathon Fort Lauderdale
Description
- Race type
- Half Marathon
The 13.1® Fort Lauderdale will offer an amazing sunrise on a scenic and friendly course. Start near Port Everglades and the Broward Convention Center on 17th Street and head west (no need to go over the bridge here!) towards US 1/Federal Highway. The course will take you under the New River through a tunnel to make a right on Broward Blvd. At 16th Ave, under the shade of trees, racers will get on Las Olas Blvd, the famous stretch of galleries, cafes and shops that makes Downtown Ft. Lauderdale a pedestrian friendly city. As the sun rises and the waves roll in, participants will head north on A1A Blvd, home to Ft. Lauderdale’s new 4 and 5 star resort hotels and the lively atmosphere of bars and restaurants that line the beach. The course continues north towards 40th Street for the turnaround and comes back down A1A where locals and hotel visitors will cheer on runners. The race will finish at South Beach Park at the south end of A1A, a beautiful sandy beach and home to the finish line where athletes will get their 13.1 finisher medals, high fives from friends and family and celebrate their accomplishment.
