Well organised, very friendly people at drink stations (with jelly beans, fruit cake and even Egg sandwiches). Well marked. Not many competitors, which means you can be running on your own for some of the race, and definitely no jostling. Some reasonable hills (they seemed much bigger on the way back then on the way out), and great views of Aussie bush, and Australia’s capital city – even had some kangaroos hopping along beside the track. It was zero degrees © at the beginning, but well worth the run. I love this run – have done it twice, now.
