Ancré dans le top 10 des marathons français depuis sa création en 1988, le Marathon de la Liberté, parfois surnommé Marathon des Plages du Débarquement, souvent retenu comme le Marathon de Caen, possède l’un des plus beaux parcours en France.
En côtoyant sur 42,195 km les lieux mythiques du Débarquement (Plages du DDay, Casino de Ouistreham, Pegasus Bridge…), le parcours maritime et champêtre prend un sens différent et rend le marathon, plus encore qu’à l’accoutumée, empreint de symboles et d’émotions
