Half Marathon results
Jared Markowitz bested more than 1,200 participants to win the 36th running of the Presque Isle Half Marathon in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Set along the shores of Lake Erie, the USATF certified course works its way around Presque Isle State Park.
Markowitz was the only runner to come in under an hour and 15 minutes, finishing in 1:14:46:5.
Runner-up Daniel Baer (1:15:57.1) beat out Patrick Hager (1:17:42.3) for second.
For the women, it was Lauren Woodring defended her title for a third straight year.
Her time of 1:17:50.5 was slightly slower than in 2014 (1:17:27.6) but faster than in 2013 (1:17:59.8).
Brooke Adams, who finished sixth a year ago, improved her time by over five and a half minutes to finish second with a time of 1:27:41.8.
Danielle Ivancic rounded out the top three, coming in at 1:30:50.4.
