Here are a few results that have been published about the races organized this week-end. Congratulations to all the participants.
American Birkebeiner Trail Run
Over 500 runners and walkers entered the different races.
Jakob Wartman, Duluth, Minn. captured the first place honors in the half marathon, while the women’s division was won by Maria Grossi, Hayward, Wisc.
Next year, the organizers will add an individual marathon to the event. Mark September 25th 2010 on your calendars.
Big Sur Marathon
169 runners finished the 20th edition of the Half Marathon which was won by Colin Beazley in 01:46:40. The women’s race was won by Heidi Cleveland in 01:55:40.
As for the marathon, 64 runners crossed the finish line. Mark Matyazic was the first man in 03:25:40, Nicole Duke the first woman in 04:03:50.

Hamptons Marathon
1201 entered the marathon and half marathon. Despite the rainy weather, a new record was established by Oz Pearlman in the marathon (2:37:50). Jessica Allen won the women’s race in 3:07:10
which was also a new record.
In the half-marathon, Kevin Starkes, won the race in 1:15:05, while Bridget McKenna, set a new record in 1:27:35 for the women.

Quad Cities Marathon
Henry Kipsang won the mens marathon in 2:19:13. The first women was Buzunesh Deba in 2:44:22. Overall, 749 runners finished the race.
The half marathon was ran by 1,525 people, and Bryan Glass was in first man in 1:09:50, while the Michelle McMurray won the women’s race in 1:28:08.
Road Runner Akron Marathon
1431 marathoners crossed the finish line. Richard Chelimo was the fasted in 2:27:21. Hirut Manderfro was the first woman in 2:51:59.
Among 2371 finishers of the half marathon, Dustin Meeker was the fastest, finishing in 1:13:02. Nicole Camp finished in 1:23:56, wining the women’s race.
The 2010 date is already set to September 25th and the registration is already open.
Warsaw Marathon
Ethiopian Teshome Gelane Etane is the winner of the Warsaw Marathon. His time was 2:12:03, a new record.
Anastasiya Padalinskaya from Belaruss was first woman in 2:44:55.
3166 runners finished the race.

In 2010, the BNbank Oslo Marathon will be run on September 26th.

100km de Millau
Christophe Moro won the 100 km race in 7:51:18. Brigitte Bec was the first woman in 08:24:56.

New Forest Marathon
514 runners finished the marathon. Jo Corbett finished first among the men in 2:46:44, while Jenny Moore lead the women in 2:57:18.

Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon
For its 20th anniversary, two new record were set during the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon
Kenneth Mungara of Kenya broke the record he set in last year’s race, setting a new record for fastest marathon time ever run on Canadian soil (2:08:31.9). In the women’s marathon, Amane Gobena of Ethiopia also set a new course record with a time of 2:28:31.
2846 runners crossed the finish line.
