About the event
The Blue Cure Night Run 5K will shine light on the rise of cancer in young men and the ability of individuals to lower their cancer risk by healthy eating and living. The run is set for select cities to help raise money for cancer prevention awareness and youth programs.

oin the City of Houston and the Blue Cure Foundation to illuminate Downtown and shine a light on prostate cancer prevention on September 26 at the 2nd Blue Cure Night Run.
Start the 5K at Sam Houston Park and finish with City Hall illuminated in blue as Blue Cure recognizes September as National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
Don't miss the laser light post-race show and additional activities at the illuminating after party as CBS KHOU 11 News EMMY-nominated journalist and morning news anchor, Lily Jang will emcee. Each 5K participant will receive a commemorative Blue Cure Night Run dry fit style shirt, a glow necklace and wristband.

*The mission of Blue Cure is to prevent prostate cancer and improve outcomes for those with cancer by funding and advocating for cancer research in integrative and preventive medicine, and educating young men and boys about dietary and lifestyle habits which can greatly reduce the risk of cancer.
