24 Hour Run/Walk For a Cure
It’s that time of year again for the 5th Annual 24 hour Run/Walk for a Cure. Help us to continue to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and accomplish our goal of a world without blood cancers.
Join us, at the Orthopaedic & Spine Center’s Physical Therapy Center, to save lives one hour at a time. You can sign up as an individual or as a group (up to 6 people) for one hour time slots during a 24 hour period. Each hour time slot will be responsible to raise a minimum of $100 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Help us end the battle against blood cancers! Your very own, Dr. Mark McFarland, Erin Lee and many other employees are fundraising for Light the Night. This event is held in Norfolk and it is a night dedicated to honoring loved ones lost, survivors and their family members and friends and we encourage anyone interested to walk with us. One Hundred percent of your donation will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Each participant will run or walk on a treadmill at the Physical Therapy Department during their allotted hour. Snacks and beverages will be provided. There will be a Silent Auction where you can bid on multiple fabulous donated items!
Start early and Don’t be afraid to ask! Every dollar counts so no donation is too small.
Find a Sponsor! You can ask local businesses or friends if they want to donate the money for your team to participant or they can sponsor each mile of your run/walk with a monetary contribution.
Funny outfits or costumes are encouraged!! There will be a prize for best costume!
