5K and 7 Miler Run/Walk for Clean Water Kenya

The rural Maasai villages of Kenya are where the highest population of people depend upon standing water for their drinking and cooking, most of which comes from watering holes and small catchment basins. Clean Water Kenya combats this by providing water filtration systems and hands-on education to these tribes and WE NEED YOUR HELP! 100% of the proceeds of this race are going to the Maasai. Run for the Maasai and Run for Clean Water Kenya!

KIMUKA CHALLENGE: carry a gallon jug of water (provided by us) for the last 1.5 miles and earn an extra medal! This represents half the distance a Maasai child has to walk to obtain drinking water, and Kimuka, located 40 miles west of Nairobi, is the next village we will be assisting. Any runner, 5k or 7-miler, live or virtual, can participate in this challenge! Simply add it on at the end of your registration.

There will be a porta-john near the start line.

We will be following local and state health guidelines. Please wear a mask until you cross the start line, and please re-mask when the race is completed. On the course, please stay to the right and practice as much social distancing as you can. Disposable masks will be available should you forget to bring your own.
