Johns Hopkins Medicine invites you to participate in the annual United Way 5K Presented by Johns Hopkins Medicine, benefiting United Way of Central Maryland.

Contributions to United Way of Central Maryland allow us to continue our mission to make people's lives and the neighborhoods they live in better. We do this by making sure people have a place to call home, helping them secure access to healthy food and a job that pays the bills, and ensuring that students at risk of falling behind in school get the help they need.

We are proud to say that through our impact programs:

·       2,000+ families avoided homelessness since 2012, of which 98% remain safely housed
·       112,000 callers sought help through our 2-1-1 Maryland advice and referral helpline
·       80% of teen parents in our Ben Franklin Center for Community Schools (Ben Center) program graduated high school, double the national rate of 40%
