9.11K Race to Commemorate 9/11

This year will mark the 20th anniversary of 9/11.  The Lincoln Park District and the Central Illinois Veterans Commission of Lincoln, Illinois, are hosting a 9.11K race to commemorate 9/11.  The 2,977 lives lost that day and in the subsequent War On Terror.  Our heroes past and present.  A ceremony will follow immediately after the race on the Logan County Courthouse lawn.

75% of the proceeds raised from this event will help the Central Illinois Veterans Commission (a 501(c)3) construct small houses for our homeless veterans.  Illinois ranks number two in the nation with the number of homeless veterans!
