A.S.I.A.M. 5 K

Austim/Amputees and Spinal Injury Awareness Movement (ASIAM) is hosting the 2018 ASIAM 5K September 1, 2018 from 7:00am – 10:00 am for participants to continue bringing awareness to the great untapped potential that is often undiscovered and underutilized simply because of a disability.

Many persons suffering from either of the physical or mental challenges have so much to offer to society but without continual advocacy to create special places and events to empower them to thrive, many sectors in our society will be devoid of igniting hope and possibilities in the forgotten ones that are filled with underdeveloped talent. If we choose not to create spaces and opportunity we end up with wasted human potential. No matter how small their contributions are, it is so rewarding just knowing we can transform the lives of individuals who are relegated to minimal activities which slow the intellectual process. We choose to be the gateway to unending new possibilities and strive passionately to create this kind of world for the those without the strength or resources to do so. Join us!
