Adventist HealthCare Amputee Awareness 5K Walk, Wheel or Run Virtual Event

Join us virtually for the Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation’s Annual Amputee Awareness 5K Walk, Wheel or Run presented by Medical Center Orthotics and Prosthetics!

Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation started this annual event in April, during Amputee Awareness Month, of 2015 to publicly acknowledge the countless challenges amputees face and help provide financial assistance to those who do not have the means to pay for crucial medical necessities. 

Amputees must adapt to a host of new physical challenges.  Innovative new technologies and advancements can have a 
tremendous impact on their recovery. From home modifications, agile wheelchairs, and prosthetics, there are many ways to help amputees start moving again and regain their physical independence.  

With each passing year, our patients with limb loss, their families, and many supporters look forward to this event to come together, get active and encourage each other. Due to COVID, we are unable to have this event in-person but are grateful to be able to carry it on virtually! 

Our signature event occurs each year during April Amputee Awareness month to acknowledge the many issues amputees face and to provide financial assistance to those who do not have the means to pay for crucial medical necessities.

How to participate and make the best of your 5k experience:

Register for FREE either individually or as a team here on RunSignUp.Kick-off on April 24th for a virtual race-day opening ceremony!Complete your walk, wheel or run participation and log your results by April 29th.Join our Facebook Event Page to share pictures and videos of your training and participation.
