About the event
This is an exceptionally lovely trail race through the beautiful Akamas Peninsula in Cyprus, being held at the height of spring when the fields are a blaze of colour and sunshine is virtually guaranteed. Minimal elevation gain, the route takes runners to some of the remotest areas of Cyprus, including the western tip of the Mediterranean island..

The course of the first loop (32km) follows rough tracks and paths along the coast of western Cyprus before cutting inland up a steep forest path to a lighthouse on the hill, and then down to the other side of the peninsula, along the coast some more and finally back to the start at the Baths of Aphrodite restaurant.
The second loop (21km) winds through meadows and farmlands, follows a mix of hiking trails and then, towards the end, descends from the mountain top all the way down to the Mediterranean in wide zig-zags that various runners have described as "exhilarating" and "one of the best finishes of any race in the world"
