Alliance for Kids Superhero 5K

In keeping with social distancing requirements, we are excited to offer the 1st Annual Alliance for Kids Superhero Virtual 5K.    Alliance for Kids is a 501c3 charity working to make the hospital an easier place for children.   This virtual event will feature a live leaderboard updated every 2 minutes with real-time tabulation of overall, gender, and age group categories provided by AccuChip Timing.

Here's how it works, just run anywhere (even on a treadmill) over the weekend of October 24 - 25 and track your 5K (3.1 miles) running time and then submit it on the open results page.   The deadline to submit your time is midnight on Sunday, October 25, 2020.    Once the countdown clock reaches zero, no more times will be accepted and the race will be finalized.

Optional: Show us the race course you chose by uploading your map from the following fitness app trackers: Strava, Garmin, Polar, MapMyRun, RunKeeper, MovesCount, EndoMondo and TomTom Sports. (Your course map will be viewable for everyone to see.)

To submit your time on race weekend ... 

1. Open the Open Results page (weblink will be sent prior to the race starting) 
2. Find your name 
3. Click 'Edit Time' next to your name
4. Enter in your 5k time and click the submit button

Everyone is asked to report their times using the honor system.
Results will be automatically tabulated by the following age group categories: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
No performance-based age group awards will be given, but everyone who participates and posts their time will be entered into a raffle for great prizes.
Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female overall finishers
Real-time results will let you see how you are faring against other runners.

We will have a packet porch pick-up the whole week leading up to the event at our office location in Palm Beach Gardens.
