I can only agree with all the positive comments read so far. Spectacular route, nice people and extremely well organized race. Thank you Cambodia!

I have been going to this race twice already - it's an amazing 21KM race in the famous Angkor Wat temples in Cambodia. The sunrise half way through the race is just cherry on top! Overall, the race is very well organised, with lots of water, sport drinks and snacks on the stands, and great complimentary refreshments after your race as well. There are people from every nationality doing this race and it just feels like being part of a big friendly international family reunion. Would love to go to more editions in the future!

This was a cool event and actually quite a flat, fast course with fairly mild temperatures. The temples provided an amazing backdrop. My main issue would be with the start time which was 5:30am meaning the start was a little chaotic in the dark and the first 30 minutes were not really enjoyable but after sunrise it was a really great place to run and there were even nice podium prizes.

Distance seem accurate

This run had so many wonderful elements to it. It was an extremely humbling run for me - to be part of such a wonderful event, yet remembering the sadness that the country has experienced. The weather was superb, route breathtaking,,, The run started at 5:30 and I did find it hard to navigate my way through the crowd in the dark with no street lighting however, within 30 minutes or so, we were fine. Great scenery, amazing support crew and aid stations were perfectly positioned. There were a couple of things (as mentioned by others) that I'd like to see organisers look at and fix. Bag drop off / pick up - super slow. Took us 50 minutes to collect our bags. Should only take a minute. An excessive amount of bottled water being wasted. I found this particularly hard to accept when you consider the number of local people living in poverty. Thoroughly recommend this run and I look forward to coming back and doing it again. Thank you to the people of Angkor Wat.

Flattest of flat and fast course. Lots of shade and aid stations. No need to wear a hydration vest or water belt.

One of the best route I’ve ever participated so far, post-race happenings are awesome and cheerful! And great location for tourism too.

The half marathon route is flat on asphalt roads, only around 1 to 2km on dirt roads. The route crosses the outstanding temples of the Angkor Wat Historical Park, making it one of a kind.

The route inside the historical site was amazing. Crowds were so friendly and cheerful. It was so much fun high-fiving the children along the run. Definitely a must-go experience.

It was a great route and amazing location. The area is fairly flat, so not many up hills and down hills. We expected a lot of sun, but actually the race was routed through streets with enough shade, and many water points. It was the perfect half marathon for me as it was my first :) as this event raises awareness and funds for the war victims, it is also nice to know that your money is well spent.

It was my first half marathon. The route was well planned. No hills and lots of shade, enough water points

Other than the fact that the race started late, it was an amazing experience overall. The route was scenic and running around the Angkor temples and greenery was one of a kind. The official results took some time to be published and the distribution of race certificate and pictures could have been better. I will not forget the locals, especially, the children cheering you on the side of the road during the race. Beautiful templates, beautiful people, beautiful race.

The race has a fantastic route, amongst the ruins of Angor Wat and through shaded roads. It is designed to help the locals and the disadvantaged, so it is a shame that its departure had to be delayed for almost 30 minutes because of the officialdom. Because of that it was much warmer during the final part. Also it overlapped with the 10 kms (a fun race) and we had a frenzy of water bottles being thrown away after a few sips. What not use paper cups instead? The facilities must also be improved as the same are very poor. For a race that has being going for so long it is amazing they offer so little.

It is a good place to improve personal records (it is falt, shaded and not windy), but it is difficult to remain hydrated. If you can, you will do well for the half marathon.

A really special race, with some organisational hurdles to get through before it gains more traction internationally. The route is fantastic, winding past many stunning temples and through two ancient gates within the heritage site. It’s a very fast course, very flat and mostly shaded. As others have said, there are a few kinks to be worked out - the start time needs to be adhered to regardless of which officials are present. We also had difficulty finding medical attention when it was needed. The official course map said that there were first aid tuk tuks at the 7km mark, but it was not until 11km that any could be found. Thankfully our need was not urgent, but this is a real issue if there was a critical requirement for medical attention. There also needed to be greater attention to important announcements - many times the warm up/entertainment crew were speaking/yelling at the same time as announcements were being made. All in all, would highly recommend, and hope the organisational team take the feedback on board to make future years even more enjoyable.

Clearly the most beautiful race I've done, it was quite magical at sunrise, in a 100% flat, almost all asphalt route with plenty of shade, and lots of little kids on the side of the road cheering and high-fiving. Organization could be better, with no real facilities, impractical arrival area (right after arrival everybody has to go through a very narrow muddy path), the last few km coinciding with the crowded tail of the 10k (most of them walking) and best of all... waiting 30min for some dignitary to show and make a 10s speech before we could start... So 5 stars for the race itself but 2 stars for the organization... but overall it's a race I really recommend!

Messy organization, late start. Late upload of results. I wonder if the chips even worked. Half marathon finish was not separated sufficiently from 10K and in the last 2-3 km's, it was hell to go through the finishers of 10K. Similarly, it was tough at the beginning. Sites are beautiful, great race route, unfortunately the delay caused the race to be very hot sooner (it started about 20 minutes late).

There was trash burning and grass burning sporadically which was pretty rough. The race started 20 minutes late. There was a crazy guy, instead of counting down he was counting up numerous times making many people pissed off before the start of race (we were delayed and he was counting 1, 2, 3, 4 ,5 ...).
