The second annual Anthony’s Run for Recovery is a day to come together as a community to help end the stigma of addiction and show support to all the families affected by this epidemic. All proceeds from the event will go to Shatterproof, a national non-profit dedicated to ending the devastation addiction causes families. Shatterproof has saved countless lives through advocacy, education and programming.
Last year, Anthony’s Run raised over $20,000 and we are hoping this year’s event will be even more successful!
The actual event will be held on June 29th with details below. If you are unable to attend, we are also offering a virtual 5K that will allow you to run in support of our cause at any time that is convenient to you. This option is only $10 and we encourage you to take pictures to share with us!
Tentative Schedule of Events for June 29th:
9am— 5K starts on the South Park Track next to the Museum Building (1888 Brownsville Road South Park Township, PA 15129). It will continue onto Corrigan Drive and finish on the track.
10am— Kid’s Fun Run: one lap (1/2 mile) on the South Park Track.
10:30 am— Prizes will be awarded to the winners of both the 5K and the Fun Run.
The first 300 finishers will receive a medal and everyone who registers before June 1st will receive a T-shirt.
