Argus CrimeStoppers 5K Run and Walk

At Argus, we believe in using our profits to help non-profits. You can help by registering for the annual Argus Crime Stoppers 5k Road Race & Walk taking place on Sunday October 16th, 2016.

In association with Swan's Running Club.

5k Walk  - Start time: 8:30am (Walkers)

5K Run - Start Time 9:00am (Runners)

Awards & Prizes

Trophy for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female in all age groups.

NOTE: Minimum age to compete in 5k run is 16.

Number Pickup

Race Numbers are to be picked up on Saturday Octopber 15th, between 10:00 am and 12 Noon at the Argus Building.  Late Registrations will be accepted at number pick-up and will attract an additional $5.00. No Late Entries on race day.

Additional Details: All registrants will be eligible to win a $500 Travel Voucher Goodie bag and shirts for the first 500 registrants! $1,000 prize to the school with the largest number of overall entries in Juniors’ event Special prize for the best male and female Crime Stopper attire (costumes encouraged)

Strollers and dog walkers are not permitted for competitive races.

Note that the Adult 5K Course is Both Officially Measured and Certified.

General Description of Courses (Marshalls will be on Duty)

5K Route: Assemble at the Argus Building, 14 Wesley Street, heading south, turn right on to Church Street, turn left onto Par-la-Ville Road, left onto Front Street, along Front Street to Crow Lane around the roundabout, back along Front Street to Pitts Bay Road turning at the back side of the crossing in front of the Bacardi Building, back along Front Street to Queen Street, up Queen Street to Church Street left on Church Street turn right onto Wesley Street to finish in front of the Argus Building.

1.5 Miles: (Juniors ONLY) – Assemble at the Argus Building, 14 Wesley Street, heading south, turn right onto Church Street, and turn left onto Par-laville Road, left onto Front Street, along Front Street to the bottom of Spurling Hill at the crossing, which is the turn-around point, back along Front Street to Queen Street, right onto Queen Street up to Church Street, left onto Church Street right onto Wesley Street to Finish in front of the Argus Building.
