Walkers will begin at 7:30 a.m.
The 5K runners/walkers begin in front of high school exactly 10 minutes after 10 Mile runners. They will follow Willow Creek Path south of school towards the park. The course is a fast, flat out-and-back on the Willow Creek Path.

Bib and shirt pick-up and late registration: Friday, March 31st, from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Runner’s Image, 219 E. State St. Rockford or from 7 a.m. – 8 a.m. in the high school gym on Race Day.
Any participant who believes they will take more than 2 and 1/2 hours to complete the 10 mile course should start at 7:30 a.m. regardless if their plan is to run, walk or both. The weather can be quite cold in early April. We want to limit the amount of time our course marshals are standing in the cold.
Runners should plan to keep left while running the road that circles Rock Cut State Park as it will NOT be closed to traffic. There will be four water stops on the course – approximately miles 1, 3, 5, 7.
Runners must be constantly aware that the path will narrow after the first quarter mile. The course is an out-and-back so the lead runners will turn at the half way mark and head back into “the crowd” of oncoming runners. PLEASE do not run more that two participants wide and allow the runners half the path as they return to the finish line.
