Join us for the first ever Athletes with Disabilities Network Northeast 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run If you would like financial assistance for online fee registration Please contact Brandon Holiday [email protected] All requests will be kept confidential. Financial cost should never be a barrier for our Para-Athletes and caregivers. Our adaptive clinics are free to all participants. Proceeds from the race will benefit Athletes with Disabilities Network and Atlantic City Police Officer Josh Vadell and his family.
Officer Josh Vadell was shot in the head after responding to a robbery call outside of Caesars’ parking garage during the early morning hours of September 3rd. Another ACPD officer shot and killed a suspect during the shoot-out. Two other people were later arrested in connection to the incident. He is recovering, but it will be a long road to recovery. We will be honoring him at the 5k and presenting him with a check on August 12th, 2017 at the Philadelphia Phillies game Vs. Mets.
Date: Saturday May 13, 2017, 5k starts 9:00 am, 1 miles starts at 9:05 am
Where; Cooper River Park, Stadium Track, 7050 North Park Drive, Pennsauken, NJ 08109
Costs; 5k - $30 until 5/10, $35 5/11 - 5/12, $40 race day: 1 mile - adults $20 until 5/12, $25 Race day; kids 12 and under $15 until 5/12, $20 race day. Para-athletes - $24 until 5/10, $28 5/11 - 5/12, $32 race day.
Athletes with Disabilities Network Northeast, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established To promote a better quality of life for people with physical disabilities, especially for veterans and first responders by mentoring and creating awareness and offering opportunities for local athletic, recreational and educational activities.
Proceeds from the 2017 race will benefit Athletes with Disabilities Network Northeast and Officer Josh Vadell and family .
T-shirts will be provided to first 750 registrants, then while supply lasts
On race day, please park along the side roads that bisect North Park Blvd or as directed.
No dogs or strollers are allowed in the 5k race, strollers are allowed in 1 mile fun run/walk
Water will be provided on course and at finish
Packet pickup and registration will be at Haddonfield Running Co. from 2-8 pm Friday May 12th. 121 Kings Highway E. Haddonfield NJ 08033 and on race day from 7:30 - 8:30 am at race site, stadium track 7050 North Park Blvd. Pennsauken, NJ 08109
The course is around Cooper River start 1/2 mile east of the track and finishing at the stadium track
Awards 5k: top 3 male and female overall and top 3 male and female in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.
