About the event
5K and 1 mile run, chip timed. Road course. All proceeds go to support the surgery and recovery of Baby Gabe Wieneke, who will need open heart surgery shortly after birth to correct a heart defect, called Transposition of the Great Arteries. This is a condition where the hearts 2 main arteries are opposite where they should be, and deprive the body of oxygen rich blood circulation.
