The Bardstown City Schools Department of Exceptional Child Education would love to see you at the 5th Annual “Run for the Kids”, WHAS Crusade for Children 5K. This charity run will be September 14th, 2019 at the Bardstown City Schools Board of Education, with all proceeds earned donated to the WHAS Crusade for Children.
As you may or may not know, the WHAS Crusade for Children provides grant money to non-profit agencies, schools, and hospitals that serve children with special needs up to age 18. The term “special needs” is defined as physical, mental, emotional, or medical needs. Many children in Nelson County community have benefited from the Crusade’s generosity. In the past, area schools have received grants that funded equipment such as: iPads, touch screen computers, special needs playground, and Snoezelen (multi-sensory) rooms in three district schools. In the last three school years alone, schools in our community have received more than $160,000.00 in funds from the WHAS Crusade for Children.
Come out, be active, and help us raise money for an incredible cause…and some pretty amazing kids! Hope to see you there!
