Bark for the Park

Calling all dog lovers and dog owners! Mark your calendar!!!!

Do you want an area where your four-legged friend can run around and play off-leash in Downtown Green Bay? How about a place where you can meet other dog owners, sip coffee and enjoy the day?

Now is your time to help make it happen!

Come "Bark for the Park” at 9 am on Saturday, May 6th at Whitney Park and participate in a 2-mile fun-run and walk event with your dog through the Whitney Park Neighborhood. After the run/walk participants will have the opportunity to enjoy pet-friendly activities, visit vendor booths, listen to pet talks, and enjoy an assortment of snacks and refreshments for both owners and dogs. It is not required to have a dog to participate in this event! All are welcome to support this great cause!

All proceeds will go towards the establishment of an off-leash dog exercise area at Whitney Park. As you can see on this page, the area will contain paved seating areas and benches for dog owners, a secure dual-entry gate system, and drinking fountain and exercise equipment for the dogs.

But this project can’t happen without you! Join us and help us make it a reality!

Please note that participants must sign liability waivers during registration acknowledging responsibility for their dog's behavior. At packet-pick up, all participants running or walking with their dogs will be required to show proof that their dog is properly vaccinated in order to participate. All dogs for this event must be on leashes at all times.
