Battle of the Sexes 5k

June 09, 2019

Battle of the Sexes is a Green Light Events Production. GLE is based out of New Jersey and best known for Your First Mud Run, a family friendly mud run based throughout the Northeast, and The Beach Mile, a race that takes place on the beach at Wildwood, NJ.
With Battle of the Sexes, our goal was to create a unique race that pits guys vs. girls and designed so that every runner counts in the team standings!  The race supports Fair Lawn High School sports and scholarships.  The first 125 runners on race day are guaranteed shirts.

The Kids Fun Run is at 6:30 PM and the 5K is at 6:45 PM

How it works:
It’s simple.  As reported by Runners World, the average woman is 6 min and 7 sec slower than a man national average for a 5K.  At the end of the race we add up all the men and women’s times and then add ’X’ to the male time.  If women are faster, they win. The link to the statistics is as follows:     This year the women will get only 5:59, based on last year’s men’s win by 45 seconds.
