Beargrease Fur-K

2021 will be the 2nd year for the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon Fur-K.

2020 was a completely virtual event with over 590 entries from 43 States, 6 Countries and 3 Continents!  

Join us Sat Oct 2nd 2021 at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Two Harbors MN for a rolling-start Fur-K event. The course will be run on the Erkki Harju Ski Trail.  Register for the morning (8am to 12pm) or afternoon block (1pm- 4pm).  Participants will arrive, check-in, and start their Fur-K anytime during their window.  Time will be kept for you from your time of start to when you check back in at the finish line.  

**Pet Policy: leashed, well mannered pets are welcome at the Fur-K.  Please be respectful of the trails and pick up your animals poop and dispose of it.  We reserve the right to ask any unleashed, or disruptive Fur Friends to return to their car or to leave the event.  Note- pets will not be allowed in the registration building.

For 2021 the Virtual option is still available!  We want everyone near and far to be able to participate even if they can’t join us for a run/walk/trot around the trails of Two Harbors MN.

The Fur-K is a fun run meant to inspire participants to get outside with their family and their Fur Friends!  We celebrate the Beargrease Spirit as well as promote an event we’re extremely proud of, all while having a great time!

All Entries will receive a limited addition Fur-K T Shirt.  Matching pet bandanas are also available as an add on at checkout.  

**We will be following and in adherence with all local and State Covid-19 guidelines during the event.**

In the event you have signed up for the in-person option and can no longer attend, refunds are not available but switching to the virtual event is available at any time.  Switching your choice of virtual/in person and morning/afternoon can be managed using the email login created at signup.
