Bears Who Care OktoBEARfest 5K Fun Run at Hamlin

The first annual OktoBEARfest 5K Fun Run is a healthy, family-friendly event!  Run, walk or jog for a worthwhile cause, Bears Who Care, which provides teddy bears and books to children in need throughout the community.  After the 5K, enjoy a morning of fun activities, including Scholastic Book Fair, silent auction, food stands, raffles and games.  Runners and walkers are all welcome to participate.

REGISTRATION
Early Adult Registration (July 9th to October 9th) - $30
Late Adult Registration (October 10th to October 19th) - $35
Adult Day of Race Registration - $40

Youth Ages (12 and under)
Early Youth Registration (July 9th to October 9th) - $25
Late Youth Registration (October 10th to October 19th) - $30
Youth Day of Race Registration - $40

AWARDS
Awards will be given in the following categories:
Overall Male, Overall Female
Three deep in the following age groups for male and female:
10 and under, 11 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 and over
All participants who register by Friday, October 5th will receive a commemorative medal.

TIMING AND SCORING
This event be chip timed using a disposable chip on the back of your bib.  Please be sure to wear your bib on the front side just below your chest to ensure accurate scoring. Bibs not worn in the proper place may not receive a proper time.  Results will be posted onsite day of race and online.

PACKET PICK UP
Dates and times for pre-race packet pick up to be determined.  Race packets and bibs will be available day of race starting one hour before the start of the race. 

T-SHIRTS
All pre-registered participants will receive a special event day t-shirt.  Sizes only guaranteed to participants registered by Friday, October 5th.  Shirts and shirt sizes not guaranteed for day of race registration. 

RESTRICTIONS
For safety reasons, bicycles, skateboards, inline/roller skates, motorized carts of any kind and pets are not allowed on the race course.  Baby strollers and baby joggers are welcome to participant, but must start at the back of the starting pack.  Children riding in strollers or joggers do not need to be registered. 

REFUND POLICY
There are no refunds or transfers for this event.  This event will take place rain or shine.
