Bel Air Town Run

Harford County Running Club, the Harford County running affiliate of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) conducts the Bel Air Town Run (BATR) 5K as a community event to promote health , fitness and running. The 5K race is also a part of the Maryland RRCA Championship Series of races. There is also a 1 mile fun walk option.

Registration Fees:

5K:
$25 through April 15th
$30 April 16th - May 29th
$35 May 30th - race day

1-Mile Fun Run/Walk:
$20 through April 30th
$25 thereafter

**$15 for ages 10 and under for either event (discount will be applied at checkout)

There are no refunds of entry given or transfers of entry permitted for this event.

Starting at 6:30AM onsite (Bandshell on Shamrock Road)

Ameneties

All participants receive an event T-Shirt; post race music and refreshments; water on course and at finish; chip timing; timing splits at each mile.

Awards

Cash Awards give to the the top three male and top three female runners in:

Open (no age restriction) – Awards are based on gun time
1st Place: $150
2nd Place: $100
3rd Place: $75

Master (ages 40+) – Awards are based on gun time
1st Place: $75
2nd Place: $50
3rd Place: $25

Awards will be given out for the top three male and female finishers of each age group (in five year increments), based on gun time:
8 & under
9-11
12-14
15-19
20-24
25-29
30-34, etc. through age 69
Ages 70+ are grouped into one category.

Course

This is a downhill point to point course. That description can be deceiving when you are running the course. Take a look at the course map graphic on the web page. Look at Race Information and select Course. The graphic map shows the hills. The course is on paved streets. Once off Main St. this is a residential area. Only the section of Main St. and Lee Way are closed to traffic. There are police officers at major intersections. There are course marshals at almost all intersections. The course is marked with white chalk on the road. Runners are responsible for knowing the course.

Harford County Running Club (previously RASAC) is the oldest running club in Maryland and has been supporting running since the first year of the Airfield run in 1966.
