Belmont Plateau Cross Country Hall of Fame Classic

The Belmont Plateau Hall of Fame Classic is celebrating it's 3rd year and will be held on Saturday, August 26th with a youth mile at 8:45 and the 5,000 meter race at 9 am. The race is the opening of cross country season of racing at Belmont Plateau Park (America's Premier Cross Country Course since 1963). The 1 mile youth and 5,000 meter race is run on the challenging Belmont Plateau CC course (grass and gravel trail) with a number of challenging hills. The race is open to all age groups and all level of runners.The race event is organized and supports the mission of the Belmont Plateau Cross Country Hall of Fame to oversee the annual nomination of worthy candidates to the HOF, raise funds to help support the creation of a physical HOF Walk at Belmont Plateau, and also support purchasing the awards for the Philadelphia Public and Catholic League XC Championship. The race will be followed by a breakfast for all participants and an awards and Induction to the Hall of Fame Ceremony. Race day pickup and registration will start at 7:30 am. 1 Mile Youth ($10 pre and $15 race day), 5k Run ($20 pre and $25 race day). Online pre registration will close on Thursday, Aug 24 at 7pm. CASH AWARDS to top 3 men and women in the race along with 10 year age group awards. TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP- There will be a team championship (cross country scoring) for All Men and All Female (unlimited members on the team with the top 3 scoring for the team. Awards to top 3 teams for each gender. The 1 Mile Youth Run - open to all runners 12 years old and below with medals to the top 3 boy and girl finishers. The Hall of Fame Classic will also serve as the Mid Atlantic USATF Association Master (40 years and older) Cross Country Championship.
