This stunning winter warmer running event takes place on hilly forest roads above Callander and is the perfect opportunity to blow away the New Year cobwebs.
Covering approximately 10km with a shorter distance for junior runners, the trail ascends to the top of Ben Gullipen where runners will begin the descent.
Terrain and Equipment
The race consists of forest track and pathway on an out and back route of 13.6km (total).
There may be snow and ice on the route and in this situation running crampons are advisable.
Sections of this route are exposed to the elements and all runners are strongly advised to carry at least full upper body cover.
Dogs
Please note that the race is open to canicross (running with a dog) and therefore there will be dogs around on the day.
