Benicia Education Foundation Run for Education

May 05, 2019 # 12

The BEF Run for Education is a fantastic, family-friendly event for first-time runners to expert athletes. Proceeds from this event benefit the Benicia Education Foundation, a volunteer-run, community-based non-profit organization that helps fund programs and services at all seven schools in the Benicia Unified School District.

All events highlight Benicia’s rich history starting from the beautiful First Street Green. Both the 5K and 10K courses are certified by the USATF and professionally timed. Participants will pass historical sights, gorgeous Victorian homes and breathtaking views of the Carquinez Straight. The 10K course takes runners into the beautiful Benicia State Park, while the Kids’ Fun-Run, open to children ages 12 and under, runs along the Benicia waterfront.

After the festivities, we would like to invite everyone to stay and enjoy the day in Benicia. Click on the links below for suggestions. With its great parks, restaurants, shopping, art, museums, marina and rich history, everyone is sure to find something fun to do.
