Big Babies 5K

The Big Babies 5K run/walk has been established to provide financial support for medical expenses for the care of newborn large animals (foals, crias, calves, kids, etc.) that require treatment at MSU’s Veterinary Medical Center. Medical expenses for newborn animals are generally unanticipated and can be substantial. The Big Babies Fund will be used to cover part of the medical expenses for clients in need. Further, the fund can be used to enhance the educational experience of veterinary students and large animal residents (veterinarians pursuing further training to become specialists) working with Big Babies.

Big Babies success story

Indie the filly was orphaned and came to the MSU Veterinary Medical Center for newborn care and management. Thanks to donations from the Big Babies fund and other friends, plus the support of her family and the MSU team, Indie is off to the races at the Large Animal Clinic. You can support Big Babies in need of care like Indie by participating in this year’s Big Babies race on Saturday, April 22. Check out Indie HERE
