Bill's Beer Run

35th Bill’s Beer Run (BBR) is a 5-mile road race that takes place each October along beautiful Casey Key, Florida, hosted each year by the Manasota Track Club (MTC).

The inaugural BBR took place in 1989 and the event serves as MTC’s only fundraiser throughout the year to support its annual scholarship program.  The MTC scholarship awards are provided to deserving local student-athletes who display an outstanding commitment to academic and community achievement.

This longstanding club event sells out in just a matter of hours and is limited to current MTC members.  Long touted as “the most fun you can have running five miles!” AMAZING racecourse along the Gulf of Mexico, Halloween weekend, BEER, great race shirts, costumes, 10-deep age group awards, DJ, costume contests, BEER, dancing, hot-dogs, BEER and more!

Pub Run Series  

SEPARATELY BUT In addition to the race itself, we also often host a Pub Run Series leading up to BBR, giving members a chance to run together from different bars around the area, win swag, and socialize, all while supporting the club’s mission to give back to the community while encouraging healthy physical activity. The Pub Run Series is limited to 125 people and takes place in the month of October.  See below for more information on the Pun Run series including time and location for each run.

 VIP Package  

Limited to 100 SUPER-SPECIAL members, you can claim your VIP status by registering for the VIP package.  The VIP package includes: your race registration and special VIP treatment on race day including reserved parking on race morning, special armband for beer tent, recognition at the event and knowing that YOU helped to contribute to the 2023 student-scholarships.  Per USATF rules, gun time is used to determine prize money winners and time bonus recipients. Tag time (chip time) will be used to determine all age-group
