Black Squirrel 5K

The race, named after Kent State University's unofficial mascot, will be held at 8 a.m. The course is a loop course beginning and ending near the entrance to the Student Recreation and Wellness Center on the Kent State University Campus. The course takes runners through the campus via the Esplanade and Portage Bike and Hike Trail. A few small hills adds to the runners experience and be on the lookout for the infamous black squirrels. An awards ceremony immediately after the race and participants are invited inside the Student Recreation and Wellness Center for a variety of food and beverage items.
