Blue Ribbon Glow Run

Pre-Registration for t-shirts is now closed. However, everyone is still welcome to participate and you can purchace a shirt for $10 the day of the event and recieve it at a later date.   April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Blue Ribbon Glow Run is to raise child abuse awareness. DADE FIRST-Family Connection, Dade County Library, and Dade Division of Family and Children's Services want to help families make a big difference year-round through small acts that help protect children, strengthen families, promote traits that help protect families — and, ultimately, prevent the abuse and neglect of children.  The Blue Ribbon Glow Run will be a completely FREE Event and people of all ages and families are encouraged to attend. This is a 1 Mile Run/Walk/Crawl. The run will take place on the track around the Dade County High School football field. We will have Glow in the Dark shirts in desired sizes if preregistered. You can register online here, or at the Dade County Library. Registration the day of starts at 8:00 PM and the 1 MILE RACE starts at 9:00 PM.  If the event gets rained out, it will be held on Friday, May 6th instead.  For more information, email [email protected]. The event and shirts are totally free. Those who already preregistered by April 11th will receive a free Blue Ribbon Glow Run Glow-in-the-Dark shirt the night of the event. For those of you who missed the pre-registration sign-up, you can still sign-up the night of the event and order a shirt for $10 to recieve at a later time. Any extra money collected from the shirts will be used to purchase books for Stewards of Children training, a child sexual abuse training that is beneficial for anyone who works with young people. Make sure and dress prepared to Glow-in-the-Dark!!  Through the broken pieces, the light will shine! ***UPDATE 3/31/15 In order to receive your free shirt you must be at the registration table by 9:00 PM. Those who come after may not receive the size shirt they ordered. ***
